About the Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius At Anahita
For the second time in three years the Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita is hosting the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. Built to USGA standards and the first of its kind in Mauritius, the championship, Ernie Els-designed course makes the most of its tropical setting. Backed by lush mountains and fringed by the crystal-clear lagoon, its large fairways and six stunning oceanfront holes culminate in a final shot that is among the most spectacular in the world.

The tournament consists of a 72-hole (4 day) stroke play Championship with 18 holes played each day. The field comprises of 156 professionals. Play will be in three-balls on the first two days, and in two-balls on the last two days after the cut. Play will also be in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the PGA Sunshine Tour, European Tour and Asian Tour Tournament Rules.
At least 40 players from each tour from the Order of Merit as at the end of the 2018 year.
About the Participants
- Dylan Frittelli
South Africa’s Dylan Frittelli will make the first title defence of his career when he returns to the island of Mauritius for November’s AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. His victory in last year’s event played was his second European Tour title in 2017 and one which resulted in a breakthrough year in 2018 where Frittelli competed at the highest level of the game in the Majors. This year Frittelli has had six top-20 finishes on the European Tour, two of which have come in tournaments on the Tour’s elite Rolex Series.
- George Coetzee
George Coetzee is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. In May 2015, Coetzee won his second tournament of the year at the inaugural AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, defeating Thorbjørn Olesen in a sudden-death playoff, at the second extra hole with a birdie on the par-five 18th hole.
- Nicolas Colsaerts
Nicolas Colsaerts has claimed top-10 career finishes at both the U.S Open and The Open Championship, and has been ranked as high as No. 32 in the OWGR. He has two career wins on the European Tour, and has finished third three-times in 2016.
- Romain Langasque
French professional Romain Langasque’s career boasted eight individual wins across five years, with the standout performance being his victory in the 2015 Amateur Championship at Carnoustie.
