Are you ready to be blown away by a beautiful fusion of colours? We promise you Belle Mare Beach will not disappoint.

The beach of Belle Mare, located in the East side of the island, will surely impress you. Belle Mare beach is definitely one of the longest beaches in Mauritius. Starting from the village of Belle Mare, it extends all the way till the village of Trou D’Eau Douce.

The beach of Belle Mare promises a beautiful mixture of colours. Turquoise deep blue lagoon which fades into a turquoise crystal clear water and ends up on a white clean beach with pristine sand which is surrounded by lush green trees and plants.

It is indeed a beach with many spots for you to relax and either drown your stress away in the clear shallow waters or by just laying on the beach and breathing in deeply.

Famous for its calm waters, it attracts a lot of swimmers. Visitors will come across a large variety of options at the Belle Mare beach, fully protected by the coral reef, there is surely something for everyone.

For enthusiasts of water sports, Belle Mare Beach is home to many water activities such as tube riding, parasailing and under sea walk. In order to guarantee your place for your preferred activities and avoid long waiting time, best to pre-book the activities. However if you are not much into water sports, taking a walk on the pristine beach and just enjoying the breeze and the sea is equally exhilarating.

Belle Mare beach could not keep the hoteliers and street food stalls away. You will find many hotels located near the beach or even on the beach. Street food stalls offer a variety of options to those who wish to enjoy some delicious local street food to accompany the view.

As it is a famous beach, Belle Mare beach does attract many locals from the neighbouring villages or even across the island during weekends. We do recommend going to the beach on weekdays to avoid crowds.
