Full Day Cruise to Bernaches Island - Itinerary

• 09:45: Meet the team at Grand Gaube for the embarkation process
• 10:00: Sail off to La Mangrove at Île d’Ambre
• 10:00 to 12:00: Enjoy a refreshing swimming and snorkelling break, with the assistance of the crew and later relax in the serene mangroves
• 12:00: Savour a tasty BBQ lunch on board
• 13:00: Sail to Îlot Bernache to pause and unwind, stroll along the island’s sandy beaches and explore the lagoon until 14:30
• 16:00: Back to Grand Gaube

Enjoy spending a day cruising through the crystal waters of the northern lagoon, breathtaking scenery all around, a fun snorkelling session, explore the local marine life, and savour a mouthwatering BBQ lunch. This cruise is all about making sure you have a full day of true pure fun and relaxation.

Your journey will start from Grand Gaube where you will embark on the catamaran and sail to the North East Coast next to the mangroves. Bask in the warm sunlight and enjoy beautiful views of the lush green nature along the way.

You will eventually stop for a snorkelling break to dive into the clear and warm waters of the lagoon and discover the vivid marine life you've always heard about. Snorkelling equipment will be available on board so you can just relax and have fun.

After this refreshing swim, savour a delicious on-board BBQ lunch featuring a variety of salads, grilled fish and chicken and garlic bread. To quench your thirst, enjoy soft drinks, water, fruit juices, rum, beer and wine. An alternative lunch will be served to vegetarian guests (upon request only).

Once lunchtime is over, you will stop at Bernaches Island to relax and take in the natural beauty surrounding you. Marvel at the stunning sea views, feel the salty breeze in your hair or go for a refreshing swim in the lagoon.

At around 14:30, you will board the catamaran and start sailing back, returning to Grand Gaube at around 16:00 with a heart full of memories that will last a lifetime…

About Bernaches Island

Bernaches Island is less than 2 acres. This incredible islet is also known as Pointe Bernache or as Ilot Bernaches and is part of Ile d'Ambre. Its white sandy beaches and scintillating turquoise water will tempt you for a refreshing swim.

You will likely spot a few casuarina trees and some species of grass and shrubs. There are one or two beautiful stretches of sandy beaches and the rest of the island's beaches are made up of rocks and boulders.

• Minimum number of participants: 6 pax
• Shared Catamaran: If the minimum number of participants has not been met, your preferred date may change by the service provider and the new date will be communicated to you accordingly.
• Private Catamaran: up to 18 participants
• Children as from the age of 1 year are allowed on board.
• Reservation required 48 hours in advance by phone & subject to availability
• Smoking is strictly prohibited on the catamaran. Clients may smoke when they are at the island/s.
• Snorkelling equipment is provided and disinfected on a daily basis after each trip.
• Beach Towels are not provided; you’re therefore advised to bring your own.
• Customers are required to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand.
• This trip is not recommended for pregnant women.
• Activity is still carried out under rain unless safety is compromised.
• The schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.
• Note: Kindly inform us in advance if you are vegetarian so that a veg lunch can be prepared for you.

Transport is available for an extra fee, with pick-up and drop-off from any accommodation in Mauritius.

How is the Transportation Fare calculated?

For transportation not included as part of the tour, the fare is calculated based on the set activity duration, the distance between your accommodation and the activity location (round trip).

Transport Payment

The payment for transportation is divided into two parts:

"Deposit": Payable at the time of booking, alongside your activity reservation. This deposit covers a portion of the total transportation fare.

"Amount Due to Driver": The remaining balance is payable in cash directly to the driver on the day of the activity. This final amount is calculated by subtracting the deposit from the total transportation cost.
