About the Thrill-Packed Water Ski Adventure in Mauritius

This package gives you the opportunity to experience water skiing in the heart of Mont Choisy - one of the most beautiful beaches in the north, if not the whole island.

What is water skiing you may ask. Well, it is a sport where an individual (or more than one) is pulled behind a motor boat on a body of water wearing one or more skis. The surface area of the ski (or skis) keeps the person skimming on the surface of the water allowing the skier to stand upright while holding the tow rope.

As the boat accelerates and takes up the slack on the rope, you’ll get to glide on the water by applying some muscle strength.

According to your water skiing level you can agree with the boat operator on the complexity of the course (slalom, straight lines etc). After having completed the initiation course, you will be taken back to shore.

The best area for water skiing is considered to be the northern area Mauritius, along the coasts, where the lagoon provides full protection from the big waves of the open sea. Hence, you can rest assured knowing that you’ll be water skiing in a calm sea with ideal conditions.

The water ski activity includes a short boat trip to the starting point inside the lagoon where you will get the skis, wear the life jacket and get ready to start the water skiing.
