The Safari Eco Rider at Casela Nature Parks includes:

• 1-hour guided Eco Rider tour in Casela's African Safari

Ride Into the Wild: Safari Eco Rider at Casela Nature Parks

Who said safaris have to be loud and crowded? On a Safari Eco Rider, you’re in charge of your own eco-friendly vehicle. Glide past zebras grazing nearby, antelopes leaping, and giraffes reaching for the highest leaves - all without scaring a single animal.

The Safari Eco Rider activity is a one-hour guided ride through Casela Nature Parks' safari on a 100% electric, all-terrain vehicle. Designed to be quiet and comfortable, it lets you move easily along the safari trails while keeping the natural surroundings undisturbed.

As the ride begins, your guide will lead you across open landscapes where you may come across wildebeests, zebras, ostriches, giraffes, and rhinos. And here’s the thing: because your ride is eco-friendly, wildlife acts naturally. That means you may get closer encounters than any safari truck could offer.

Activities and attractions not included in your package are available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

*Available throughout the park at intervals of around 15 to 30 minutes. Long-distance rides are not recommended for pregnant women due to uneven paths.

Note: Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park.  

• Minimum age: 16 years old (for the driver) | Maximum weight on vehicle: 130kg
• Passengers: Children between 5 to 10 years old (maximum weight: 35kg)
• This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or persons with reduced mobility.
• The Eco Rider activity is subject to weather and safety conditions; management may cancel or reschedule if required.
• Activity time is subject to the available park time slots. Missed time slots are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
• Access to certain attractions may be limited on specific days (e.g., Giraffe Viewing not available on Mondays & Thursdays).
• Access will not be granted without presentation of a ticket or voucher.
• You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the activity, otherwise a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
• The Safari Truck is a complimentary activity included with the entrance ticket. If missed, no refund or rescheduling will apply.
• Should the Tulawaka Gold Coaster be unavailable, clients will be offered access to the 4D Cinema as an alternative experience.

Health & Safety Notes

• Children under 12 years must remain under adult supervision at all times.
• Please do not scream, shout, kick, slap or jump up and down while in proximity to the animals.
• Participants must be physically and mentally fit; those with major hearing or visual impairments may not be permitted to participate. If the health and safety restrictions for your activity are not respected, "NO" refund will be considered. These rules are for your safety.
• Activities are still carried out in rain, and no refunds will be given if a client chooses to not participate. In the event of adverse weather, activities may be rescheduled for security purposes by the Management of the Park.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Safety briefings are conducted in English, French or Mauritian Creole. Unless clients (who do not understand any of the mentioned languages) provide a translator, they cannot take part in any of the activities that include a safety talk for safety reasons.

Transport is available for an extra fee, with pick-up and drop-off from any accommodation in Mauritius.

How is the Transportation Fare calculated?

For transportation not included as part of the tour, the fare is calculated based on the set activity duration, the distance between your accommodation and the activity location (round trip).

Transport Payment

The payment for transportation is divided into two parts:

"Deposit": Payable at the time of booking, alongside your activity reservation. This deposit covers a portion of the total transportation fare.

"Amount Due to Driver": The remaining balance is payable in cash directly to the driver on the day of the activity. This final amount is calculated by subtracting the deposit from the total transportation cost.
