Time spent in nature is always rewarding for the body and soul — the fresh air filling your lungs and the scenery soothing your eyes is exactly what makes a nature escape so special. Now, add an adventurous ride through the wild landscapes of the South, and you’ve got a day out to remember! 

Your package kicks off in the morning. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity for a short briefing, where you’ll be shown how to handle your quad (solo or double) and provided with all safety equipment. A welcome drink sets the tone, and then it’s time to head out — ride across fields, forests, rivers, and up to one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the South.

After about 2 hours of pure adrenaline and discovery, you’ll have the chance to relax over an optional à la carte lunch at Kaz’alala, with an exclusive 20% discount on the menu with prior reservation (see Comments & Notes for more details).

The experience continues with a visit to the World of Seashells, home to Africa’s largest collection with over 8,000 shells from 1,500 species. Here you’ll learn the fascinating science, myths, and stories behind these natural works of art, and discover how they reflect the fragility of our oceans. It’s an inspiring and colourful way to wrap up your day.

About the World of Seashells Museum

Unique in Mauritius, World of Seashells presents 8,000 pieces from the collection of Mr. Le Court de Billot. This passionate Mauritian conchophile has collected seashells from around the world with concern of ecosystems and species. The collection began before him with his parents. They entrusted it to him as they also passed on their passion for shells.

During your visit, you will discover all the secrets of the shells: their morphology, their living mechanism, their defence system, the beautiful, perfect patterns and dreamy colours. You will also learn how humans have used shells throughout the world over the course of centuries.

• Transportation: Included for selected properties. Offered as a supplement for other regions.
• Participants must be physically fit for activity. Not recommended for pregnant women.
• You are required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to package start time.
• The management reserves the right to cancel the activity in case of cyclonic conditions and torrential/ heavy rain causing the site to be unsafe.
• No previous quad bike experience is needed.
• All quad riders must do a test drive before they set off on the tour.
• If the guide notices that a rider is not comfortable with the quad, the rider will be provided with other options. Should these options not be accepted by the rider, cancellation fees might apply.
• Lunch at Kaz’alala is not included in the package. Should you wish to book the A La Carte Lunch, please inform us at the time of your booking. We will reserve your seat and you will benefit from a 20% discount, payable directly at the restaurant.

Age Restrictions:

• Double Quad: Drivers must be at least 18 years old and passengers at least 12 years old.
• Single Quad: Drivers must be at least 18 years old.
