Interaction with Rhinos - Meet one of Africa’s iconic “Big 5” animals right here in Mauritius!

As part of this package, you will enjoy an unforgettable interaction with Casela’s playful and friendly white rhinos, Ella & Benji.

The experience takes place early in the morning, inside the rhinos’ enclosure before they are released into the safari. As you get closer to these impressive giants, their sheer size and strength become truly breathtaking. But don’t worry – you’ll be completely safe under the guidance of expert handlers throughout the experience.

You’ll have the chance to pat and feed the rhinos, while learning fascinating facts about these incredible animals and gaining a deeper understanding of their behaviour and conservation. A truly rare wildlife encounter that few places in the world can offer!

Fun Facts About Rhinos

• The White Rhino isn’t actually white – it’s named after its wide mouth, not its colour!
• Rhinos can run up to 55 km/h, faster than most people can sprint.

Walking with Lions Mauritius - A Face-to-Face Encounter with the King of the Jungle

After the rhino encounter, it’s time for one of Casela’s most famous experiences - Walking with Lions. And trust us, this is the kind of memory that deserves a permanent spot in your camera roll.

After a quick safety briefing with the rangers, you’ll head into the lions’ enclosure and walk alongside these majestic creatures in their natural environment. Watch them roam, play, relax in the sun and show off exactly why they’re called the Kings of the Jungle.

Depending on the moment, you might even get the chance to give them a gentle pat. Pretty surreal, right?

Activities and attractions not included in your package are available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Facilities:

• Lockers, toilets with diaper-changing tables, first-aid-trained staff, CCTV and complimentary shuttle service*

*Shuttles operate every 15–30 mins throughout the park, but long-distance rides are not recommended for pregnant women due to uneven terrain.

Note: Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park.  

• To take part in this activity, you must be above 1m50 and a minimum of 15 years old.
• Booking required at least 72 hours in advance.
• Access will not be granted without the presentation of a ticket or voucher.
• You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the activity, otherwise a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
• Visitors shall sign a disclaimer form before taking part in the ‘Walking with Lions’ activity.
• A visitor under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian at all times. The legal guardian shall sign the disclaimer form on behalf of the Minor.
• Activity time is subject to the available park time slots. Missed time slots are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
• The Safari Truck is complimentary with your entrance ticket and non-refundable if missed. To be noted, it is not recommended for expectant mothers and participation is at their own risk.
• Should the Tulawaka Gold Coaster be unavailable, clients will be offered access to the 4D Cinema as an alternative experience.

Health & Safety Notes

• Not recommended for pregnant women; participation is subject to the guide/keeper’s assessment based on the situation.
• Please do not scream, shout, kick, slap or jump up and down while in proximity to the animals.
• Participants must be physically and mentally fit; those with major hearing or visual impairments may not be permitted to participate. If the health and safety restrictions for your activity are not respected, "NO" refund will be considered. These rules are for your safety.
• Activities are still carried out in rain, and no refunds will be given if a client chooses to not participate. In the event of adverse weather, activities may be rescheduled for security purposes by the Management of the Park.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Safety briefings are conducted in English, French or Mauritian Creole. Unless clients (who do not understand any of the mentioned languages) provide a translator, they cannot take part in any of the activities that include a safety talk for safety reasons.

Transport is offered at a supplement and will include pick up and drop off from any hotel / place of accommodation in Mauritius.

The prices are per vehicle referring to the number of passengers applicable for each vehicle type.
