Good to Know!    

• To participate in the activities within Casela Nature Parks, visitors must enter the Park. Entry tickets to the park are available for purchase along with the aforementioned activities.            
• We recommend and request a minimum 45-minute gap after the completion of each activity. This ensures sufficient time to travel between departure points and allows for potential delays. 
• Please arrive at the park at least 45 minutes before the scheduled start time.

4D Cinema

The 4D cinema is a fun addition to your visit at the park with a short-animated movie of 5 to 10 minutes! Hurry up and grab your tickets, wear your special glasses and experience a real 4D sensation!

Breakfast with Giraffes

Have you come across those fascinating videos of people having breakfast with giraffes? Well, this incredible encounter actually happens in real life right here in Mauritius, exclusively at Casela Nature Parks!

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have breakfast alongside the long-necked giants of Africa, with the chance to interact with them up close! Also included in this activity is a photo session with the giraffes.

The breakfast menu is as follows:

• Pain au chocolat, croissant, eggs, sausages and baked beans, cold cut platter
• Assortment of tropical jam and butter, fresh fruit platter, fresh yogurt, cheddar cheese, bread
• Beverages: Homemade iced tea, juices, Mauritian tea & coffee, mineral & sparkling water

• Giraffes may not be there as the animals are not forced to interact. If it rains, the breakfast will be set up in the safari building.

Interaction with Caracal  

If house cats had a supermodel cousin, it would probably be the Caracal.

Small in size but full of personality, the Caracal is one of the most fascinating wild cats you will ever meet. During the 15-minute encounter, you will interact with them while learning more about their habitat and behaviour directly from the handlers. Don't forget to capture some truly memorable photos!

About Caracals: The name Caracal is derived from the Turkish word “karakulak” meaning “black ear.” Being the largest member of Africa’s small cats, males can weigh up to 18 kg, and females as much as 16 kg. Often called the desert lynx, the Caracal differs from its lynx relatives by lacking the ruff of hair around its face. It has a short, dense coat that ranges from tawny-brown to brick-red, with some black individuals recorded. 

Interaction with Cheetahs

Meet the world’s fastest land animal  - the cheetah! These elegant and graceful mammals, part of the Big Cat family, are an endangered species in the African bush. 

And yes, there is something genuinely surreal about standing next to an animal capable of reaching speeds of up to 112 km/h… only to realise they are quietly purring beside you like giant house cats (Unlike lions, cheetahs do not roar!).

Lions Encounter

During this 15-minute Lions Encounter, you will get closer to the king of the jungle than most people ever do, all under the supervision of trained keepers. You quickly realise why lions have the reputation they do - the calm confidence, powerful gaze and quiet authority are genuinely impressive in person.

At the same time… cat lovers may secretly notice something familiar too. The stretching, lounging and occasional sleepy expressions somehow still feel very “cat,” just on a far more majestic scale.

• Photography equipment and mobile phones are not allowed during the encounter.

Big Cat Feeding 

At the Predator Kingdom, you will get to live one of the best Big Cats experiences in Mauritius - feeding the big cats! This exciting activity brings you one whisker away from the majestic lions. Feel their power and smell their breath whilst you feed them safely from the specially designed enclosure.

This is a unique opportunity for visitors to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will be at all times under the watchful eyes of knowledgeable rangers, making your big cat feeding experience something to remember.

Drive Thru

Big Cats Lovers, BEHOLD!! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close to Big Cats on the island’s only Big Cats Drive-Thru - all from the safety of a caged safari vehicle.

The first stop is to see the Bengal tigers, with their iconic orange colour and dark stripes. But you’d also be pleasantly surprised to know that Casela is home to one of the rarest species of tiger in the world - the impressive white tiger. With its creamy white coat and blue-grey eyes, these majestic beasts will leave you in awe.

• Activity Time: 10h00 / 11h00 / 13h30 / 14h30 / 15h30
• Duration: 45 minutes | Operating Days: Monday to Saturday
• The Drive Thru activities are offered to participants of all ages.

Walking With Lions

Think you’ve done it all? How about a Walk with Lions in their natural enclosure? Well, this is your exclusive chance to experience the thrill of a lifetime alongside the King of the Jungle, right here on Paradise Island!

Your adventure starts in a special safari bus, which will take you to the lion’s reserve, followed by a briefing. After that, you will be introduced to the lions and their handlers to start your 1-hour Walk with Lions. You'll be able to view the lions from very close, see them playing and hopping on the rocks of the river banks and scaling the trees.

• Age Restriction: 15+ years | Height Restriction: above 150 cm  
• Duration: about 1 hour | Operating Days: Monday to Saturday
• Activity Times: 09h30 / 10h30 / 14h00 / 15h30 
• If booking another activity at Casela Nature Parks before or after, allow for at least 20 minutes of shuttle time from each destination.
• A maximum of 12 pax is allowed per session.
• If a client is booking a Walk with Lions and a Big Cats Interaction, then ideally they should allow for 1 hour 45 minutes for that activity alone.
• All participants must be physically and mentally capable to perform this particular activity; they should not have any major hearing or visual impairments.
• The Big Cat keepers have the right to not let a customer participate in the activities if the restrictions are not met.
• All visitors must sign a disclaimer form before participating in the activity; for visitors under 18 years of age, the form must be signed by their legal guardian.

Interaction With Rhinos

Get up close to one of the iconic “Big 5” African animals! As part of the Rhinos Interaction, you will get to meet Ella & Benji, two friendly white rhinos, and spend an exciting 45 minutes inside their enclosure - accompanied by the qualified rhino handlers.

The size and strength of these tough animals become abundantly clear as you approach them. You will get to touch them, observe them closely and learn a lot of their behaviour and characteristics. It's truly one of those experiences you'll be glad you didn't skip.

• Age Restriction: 10 years and above
• Duration: 45 minutes | Activity Times: 08:30 (before the park opens and they are released into the safari)
• Bookings need to be made at least 72 hours in advance.

As the Interaction With Rhinos includes entrance ticket, you can book the activity here. However, if you wish to book other activities, keep in mind that there may be scheduling conflicts.

Safari Eco Rider

Introducing the Safari Eco Rider, an innovative 1-hour tour at Casela Nature Parks that allows you to discover the beauty of African animals against the stunning backdrop of the Rempart mountain. Even if you haven't ridden a bike in years, you can effortlessly navigate the trails with the e-bike's electric motor providing balance during challenging moments.

The Safari Eco Rider is more than just a ride - it's a commitment to reducing carbon footprints during safari adventures. With reduced CO2 emissions and a dedication to the environment, this electric wonder is quiet and animal-friendly, ensuring a harmonious experience. Its intuitive driving and enhanced visibility offer a seamless journey.

Whether standing or seated, the choice is yours. More to that, a child seat is available upon request.

Camel Feeding 

While camels are known to go for long periods without food and water, why not make this occasion special and feed one with your own hands? After all, how often do you get the chance to be face-to-face with these majestic desert creatures on a tropical island?

Paddock Camel Ride 

Camels are one of the most social and loving animals you will ever meet and you will be glad you spent a little part of your day in their company during the Paddock Camel Ride.

Relax and enjoy the nonchalant sway of the camels as they slowly stroll - It’s an activity particularly loved by children. Their height and special gait make camel riding a truly enjoyable experience.

• Minimum Age: 5 years old
• Minimum Height: 1m20 | Maximum Weight: 100 kg
• Duration: 5 - 10 minutes | Activity Time: 09h15 – 16h00

Pony Ride 

If your little ones are visiting Casela, don’t miss the Pony Ride! It’s a short-but-sweet, supervised ride with the right mix of fun and confidence-building. Your kids can giggle, wave, and feel like little explorers as they trot along.

• Age Restrictions: 4-9 years old | Maximum Weight: 35 kg
• Duration: 5 - 7 minutes

Private Jeep Safari 4x4  

Enjoy a 1-hour private 4x4 jeep tour inside the safari zone, where it’s just you, your favourite people, your guide and the wildlife. Explore wide open landscapes, get up close to the animals, and enjoy an intimate, personalised experience — perfect for couples, families or anyone who prefers a quieter, VIP-style adventure.

• Activity Time: 09h30/ 11h00/ 12h30/ 14h00 
• Duration: 1 hour
• Maximum Number of Participants: 9 pax
• To enjoy the full park experience before the safari, guests must enter the park by 14:00 latest.

Facilities:

• Lockers, toilets with diaper-changing tables, first-aid-trained staff, CCTV and complimentary shuttle service*

*Shuttles operate every 15-30 mins throughout the park, but long-distance rides are not recommended for pregnant women due to uneven terrain.

*Suitable clothing should be worn when taking part in the activities - no long dresses. Sunglasses should be removed and closed shoes should also be worn. Long trousers are recommended for activities involving animal rides.

As part of this day package, you may enjoy lunch at the main restaurant of the park. You will have a special dining experience in a beautiful environment with the sounds of nature in the background, and breathtaking views over Tamarin Bay and the West Coast of Mauritius.

Note: Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park. You are requested to book the lunch at least 48 hours prior to the date of the trip. If you have any special dietary requests or allergies at least 5 days before your activity date. 

Please note that the day schedule should be planned taking into consideration the following points:

• It's recommended to select a maximum of 3 to avoid scheduling conflicts, ensuring sufficient time to shuttle in between activities, while considering 'Start' and 'End' times as well as duration.
• Activity time is subject to the available park time slots. Missed time slots are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
• You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the activity, otherwise a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Safety briefings are conducted in English, French or Mauritian Creole. Unless clients (who do not understand any of the mentioned languages) provide a translator, they cannot take part in any of the activities that include a safety talk for safety reasons.
• The Safari Truck is complimentary with your entrance ticket and non-refundable if missed.
• Should the Tulawaka Gold Coaster be unavailable, clients will be offered access to the 4D Cinema as an alternative experience.
• Please note that the Safari Truck Tour is not recommended for expectant mothers, while Tulawaka is not accessible to pregnant women or guests with reduced mobility.
• In the event of cancellation by Casela, experiences will be rescheduled. If rescheduling is not possible within a reasonable timeframe, a refund may be considered, subject to approval by Casela's management.

Health & Safety Notes

• Minors (under 18 years) must remain under adult supervision at all times. For selected activities, the guardian must sign a disclaimer form on their behalf.
• Please do not scream, shout, kick, slap or jump up and down while in proximity to the animals.
• Participants must be physically and mentally fit; those with major hearing or visual impairments may not be permitted to participate. If the health and safety restrictions for your activity are not respected, "NO" refund will be considered. These rules are for your safety.
• Activities are still carried out in the rain, and no refunds will be given if a client chooses not to participate. In the event of adverse weather, activities may be rescheduled for security purposes by the Management of the Park.
