The VIP suite is located in a very strategic position on the first floor of the horse racing arena with an open balcony which allows a clear view of the horses throughout the race, an unobstructed view of the finish line and "the paddock".
The Mauritius horse racing club commonly called the Champ de Mars was founded in 1812, making it the oldest horse-racing club in the Southern Hemisphere, and one of the oldest in the world.
Thoroughbred horse racing is the most popular sport in Mauritius and the electrifying ambiance on race days, is amazing to feel. Horse racing in Mauritius is a local happening, a lot of people in Mauritius are involved with horse racing, and you can expect to have about 30,000 visitors in each race day.
The horse racing season usually starts in April and ends in late November. With an average of 9 horses per race (some go to a maximum of 12 horses). On average, some 60 horses participate on each racing day.
As the most popular sport in Mauritius, a high level of professionalism has been reached in the organization of races over the last decades, thereby boosting competition levels, and creating a unique electrifying atmosphere on each race day at the Champ de Mars.

Day Schedule:
- You are picked up from your hotel or any place of accommodation at around 11:00 (from south and east coast Mauritius) and at 11:30 (from north Mauritius region)
- You will reach Champ de Mars at about 12:00 and you are greeted at the main entrance
- Upon your arrival in the VIP box , you are offered a welcome drink
- Some explanations will be given concerning the horse racing and the services offered during your day at the Horse racing arena
- After the 2nd race, a bet "Pick Six" is organized and all guests have the opportunity to win the jackpot
- You attend a total of 8 races (They run at intervals of 35 minutes)
- Food (hot and cold canapés) and drinks (soft, beer, whiskey, wine, rum, gin, vodka etc) are served upon clients’ requests from 12:00 to 17:00 for Free
- After the last race, you will be taken back to your hotel/place of accommodation
