The Equestrian Centre has 8 horses and 2 poneys, so adults and kids alike are most welcome to come and learn this beautiful and exciting sport.
You may choose to go for an individual session where you get a private horse riding lesson. This is your chance to acquire the beautiful skill of horse riding. The professional and qualified instructors will teach and assist you throughout the whole private lesson so rest assured you are in good hands.
Otherwise, opt for the Ride Package where you can enjoy 5 riding sessions on the estate. Simply saddle up on your horse (or pony for children), relax, and let the guides take care of everything. The 5 rides can be redeemed at your convenience and will give you ample time to enjoy the feeling of being on a horse whilst admiring the beautiful natural views around you.
Qualified and experienced instructors will be at your service to ensure that you have the best possible experience during the horse riding session. Plus, all riding equipment will be provided, so you don’t have to worry about a thing and can come as you are. Before starting your ride, you will receive a safety briefing to ensure that you are aware of all safety measures to be considered during your ride.

About the Equestrian Centre
The Equestrian Centre, located near the historical Ruins of Balaclava gives you the opportunity to experience a horse ride on the beach or through the natural wonders of the hotel estate, whether you are beginner or an advanced horse rider.
Open to hotel guests but also to non-residents, this professional riding school houses eight beautiful championship horses from over the world, as well as ponies for smaller guests.
Ruins Of Balaclava
The ruins of Balaclava, a national heritage site of the 18th century, is set amidst a tropical garden awarded ‘Most Beautiful Garden of Mauritius’. The ruins are the remains of what used to be a fortress built by the first French Governor of Mauritius, Mahe de Labourdonnais. Horse riding at this epic site will have you enjoy a ride down memory lane.
The clopping sound of your mount’s hooves against the ground, blended with the whistling breeze and the burbling whoosh of the Citron river will have you transported back in time. As you ride through the lush greenery, you will find your inner peace resurfacing.
