Amaranth 2 – A luxury beachfront Apartment

The apartment, which is almost similar to Amaranth 1, is housed in a contemporary beachfront building housing 4 apartments, situated in Pereybere, the most sought after area of Grand Bay.

They are two of the most exclusive beachfront apartments in Mauritius and they occupy the whole first floor of the building and belong to the same owner. Amaranth 2 is the one on the left when facing the sea.

They both have a fantastic view. Amaranth 2 being further onto the lagoon has an even more incredible view widening more on the northern Islets.
The rooftop pool is unique.
There is a great beach and great lagoon 30 meters away.

The turquoise lagoon is beautiful and ideal for swimming and water sports. The great views on the northern islands of Mauritius is animated by a constant ballet of pleasure boats.

Discover the white sand beach and enjoy the sunshine whilst sunbathing on the beach or relax on a sun lounger under parasols at the communal rooftop pool from which Gunners Quoin, the symbolic island, is to be discovered in one of the truly most amazing post-card views of Grand Bay.

Pereybere is at the epicenter of all tourist activities of the north coast of Mauritius. The renowned Pereybere Public Beach is within walking distance of the apartment.

Several boats offer tours and trips to the northern islands and set sail on the popular beach of the village.

All varieties of water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing are offered along the white sandy beach that stretches to Grand Bay on one side and to Cap Malheureux on the other.

For friendly family activities and to discover the underwater marine world, various excursions such as Glass Bottom boat trips, the Semi Submarine and the Underwater Submarine are offered in the immediate area. The more adventurous can enjoy: - the Underwater Sea Walk, a Scooter Cruiser Underwater Experience or the Underwater Scooter Adventure.

The Pereybere restaurants and bars such as Beach Restaurant, Pereybere Café or Red Cat Lounge offer delicious Mauritian dishes and refreshing drinks.

A kilometer away in Grand Bay, the choice of activities, restaurants or shops and duty free shops is considerable. Several nightclubs will delight the night owls. Two supermarkets and one Hypermarket are within a few minutes’ drive.

Sport-fishing boats await you to Sunset Boulevard to tease the marlin, tuna and dolphin fish.

Many small tour operators in Grand Bay also offer other sports such as golf or horseback riding.

In the region, tourist attractions include the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, The Château de Labourdonnais, (an historical colonial home now a museum) and its orchards, The Sugar museum "L'Aventure du Sucre" where visitors can discover the history of the sugar cane industry, deeply connected to the history of the country.

Port-Louis, the capital city, is less than 30 minutes' drive away.

About Amaranth 2 Beach Apartment

Amaranth 2 apartment is almost similar to Amaranth 1, especially in furnishing. Both occupy the whole first floor of the building and belong to the same owner.

Amaranth 1 is the one on the left facing the sea. The view is spectacular through the windows of the dining room that can be opened fully to create a broad incessant space through the glass balustrade panels of the terrace. The apartment has beautiful views, even better than Amaranth 1 as it stands out further on the lagoon, widening the view.

A fully equipped open plan kitchen next to the living room, including a ceramic stove, hobs, a microwave oven, an extractor hood, an American fridge, a fully household equipment and a granite tabletop.

Opposite the kitchen, a TV room, including a large corner sofa, a sisal carpet, a wooden coffee table, a flat-screen LCD TV with satellite channels Canal SAT, and an internet connection with free Wi-Fi access.

A dining room, open on the living room, features a beautiful crafted wooden table for 8 persons, a lounge-style sofa and matching armchairs. The room is of a good size with its large windows and bright colors.

A covered terrace, facing a magnificent view of the lagoon, consists of its own dining table for 2 persons, a Weber grill and one sun lounger.

The master bedroom, equipped with an air-conditioning system, includes a four-poster bed of 1.60m, an en-suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV.

The adjoining all-white bathroom has a bathtub, a glass shower, two washbasins and a separated W/C. A wardrobe occupies two walls, and is equipped with a safe.

The guest bedroom No.1 is equipped with an air-conditioning system, a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a granite washbasin, a shower and a W/C. It is decorated with a white and beige shade and has a sisal carpet, a beautiful picture and light curtains. Lamps in the shape of starfish are installed on the bedside tables located in front of a white wardrobe.

The guest bedroom No.2, is equipped with an air-conditioning system and has two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a washbasin and a W/C.

Amaranth 2 apartment is almost identical to Amaranth 1, the two occupying the entire floor of the building with a floor area of 165 square meters each. Amaranth 2 distinguishes itself from Amaranth 1 as it has an even better view as it is built closer to the beach and the view widens on the northern islets of Mauritius.

Living/Dining room

The TV lounge has a flat screen TV LCD, equipped with satellite channels and Canal-SAT and provides a comfortable space with sofa, armchairs, coffee table, TV stand and an internet connection with free Wi-Fi access.

The lounge accommodates 8 and has a great view on the lagoon.

The dining area has a table and chairs for 8 persons.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The master bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe, a cupboard, a TV stand, LCD flat screen TV equipped with satellite channels, an air-conditioner, an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, two washbasins, a W/C and a separate shower. A baby cot is available.

The two guest bedrooms offer: - a double bed in the first and two single beds in the second. Both are fitted with bedside tables, a wardrobe, a storage unit, an air-conditioner and each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, a granite washbasin and a W/C.

Kitchen

The American plan kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic stove, fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, a hob, a Nespresso coffee maker, an electric kettle, a granite tabletop, a dishwasher, and cutlery for 8 persons.

All kitchen equipment is of a very good quality.

Outdoor spaces

The apartment has a covered terrace overlooking the lagoon, including a dining table and chairs for 6 persons, a Weber grill and a sitting area with armchairs and two sun loungers.

The rooftop pool offers a relaxing setting and lavish entertainment with deckchairs, sun loungers and parasols on different levels for privacy. The view from the pool is naturally beautiful. You can admire the Gunners Quoin Island, which rises like a monument in the boat-dotted deep navy blue and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. A shower room next to the pool is available for the residents.

Amaranth 2, a charming lady at your service

The housekeeper and cook, Rouby, ensures the perfect care of the apartment and surprises her guests with her most delicious Mauritian cuisine.

She works from 9am to 2pm from Monday to Saturday, with the exception of Bank Holidays.

She cooks one meal per day, a lunch OR a pre-cooked dinner.

Purchasing food is your responsibility.

Her services are included in the price.
Tipping is discretionary. We suggest 5€ per day.
