Friday Attitude Hotel is nestled on the east coast of Mauritius, in the charming village of Trou d’Eau Douce. Just a short 3-minute drive from the village centre, the hotel offers a peaceful seaside escape while still being close to local life. Belle Mare, known for its stunning beaches, is only 10 km away - around 15 minutes by car - perfect for a quick day trip.

For those arriving from afar, the hotel is conveniently located about 50 km from the airport, roughly an hour’s drive. Port-Louis, the bustling capital city, is also around 60 minutes away by car, making it easy to explore the island's vibrant culture and history during your stay.

Already the welcome in the hotel was very friendly and the staff are very hard-working. The hotel area is beautiful and modern, but not too big. Each room is furnished with lovely details, you can even sit on a small balcony. They are spacious and well equipped (mini bar, safe, TV,...) Every day on request new beach towels and a small offer of entertainment e.g. aquagym, table tennis or live music in the evening. The meals and drinks were delicious. We ate à la carte from the buffet and there were always plenty and delicious offers. On the beach there are plenty of beach chairs and you can rent snorkeling equipment for free. There is also a small bar and a small food cart where you can find local street food at noon and cakes and crepes in the afternoon. Twice a day, on registration, you can use the shuttle boat from the neighboring hotel (Tropical Attitude) to Ile Aux Cerfs for no extra charge. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. It is a smaller hotel but has everything you need. A swimming pool, restaurants, spa, beach bar and play area for kids, which my son used. The beach is large and very nice and clean. The views from the beach were amazing also. The room itself was big enough, we were situated right next to the pool which was useful for us with a toddler. The aircon was leaking but was fixed straight away after talking to reception. We were all inclusive which was worth it. There was a great variety of food and inclusive drinks - both alcoholic and non alcoholic. The only thing would be to have the bar open at 10am as opposed to 11am :) We had booked a total of 4 rooms for a little family holiday. We stayed one night as our holidays were finishing but wanted to stay longer as it was very relaxing. The only thing we were a bit concerned about was having to park outside the hotel on the main road as the parking for the hotel is very minimal and full.

Friday attitude indeed As it was our honeymoon we received a room with a beautiful view of the ocean and a complimentary couple massage. Besides that, the staff members were absolutely lovely and sweet. I noticed that some people were picky about the food in their reviews, but we loved it. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and 1 lunch. All had different dishes served and all were good. For the buffet it was more than OK. A small heads up about the cocktails... some of them are really strong as they pour a lot of alcohol in them... we didn't mind though

Management and staff were all very friendly throughout, and went out of their way to assist us. The All Inclusive package was more than worth the money spent on it. We enjoyed snorkeling around the beach (towards the buoys), and the coral there seemed to be in good condition. The food was good and we enjoyed it. When we had problems with the plumbing, it was attended to in no time, even though it was not solved to our satisfaction. The plumbing problem in our room, which was a bit of a let down.

The staff is very kind, the hotel offers many things to do, the environment is amazing, the This Attitude is a great option for an affordable resort at the east coast of Mauritius. Super-friendly and helpful staff, all-you-can-eat and drink if you opt for the full package, free one day excursion to the wonderful Ile aux Cerfs. Wifi works fine and the rooms are cosy and spacious. The buffet could have used a little more imagination and variety..
