Villa Neptune is located in Pointe aux Canonniers, 1.5 km from the center Grand Bay, the most popular seaside resort of Mauritius.

The beachfront villa is rustic, simply furnished, and it is located on a beautiful beach with a great lagoon for swimming. It is simple and functional with direct access to the beach. This villa is perfect for a joyful, hassle free, holiday.

Villa Neptune is the guarantee of relaxation and leisure with family or friends. The sandy beach where children play, the changing colors of the turquoise lagoon at different times of the day, the breathtaking view of the northern islands dotted with sailboats on the horizon make it the perfect venue for a holiday to remember for a long time.

At the end of the fishing day fishermen come to the beach in their traditional canoes to sell their catch of the day.

For your holidays in Mauritius, villa Neptune welcomes you in Pointe aux Canonniers, in the heart of the major tourist attractions of the north-west coast of Mauritius, I.5 km away from the center of Grand Bay.

The village offers a wide range of nautical activities: - exclusive day-cruises to the northern islets, while admiring the blue turquoise of the ocean, sport fishing for marlin, dorado and tuna, water-skiing, parasailing, underwater diving, walking on the sea floor etc.

A wide variety of restaurants in the immediate area offer Italian, Mediterranean, European and Asian cuisines, not forgetting the excellent local creole cuisine. There are plenty of bars, several discotheques and a casino. Shops, boutiques, supermarkets and one hypermarket are nearby. Sunset Boulevard located in Grand Bay and La Croisette at the entrance of Grand Bay offer a great choice of up-market products.

The coast line in Pointe Aux Canonniers is characterized by small creeks, one leading to another and all offering an excellent white sandy beach fringed by a really beautiful lagoon. The renowned Mon Choisy public beach is 1 km from the villa.

Villa Neptune, for a relaxing holiday

The one storied beachfront Villa Neptune is located on one of the nice creeks of Pointe aux Canonniers’ beach and is nestled in a tropical garden in a cluster of villas belonging to the same family.

Ground Floor

The house is entered through a glass panel front door that leads into a sitting area furnished in a simple style and in warm colors. Sliding doors lead to a terrace sheltered by a thatched roof. It is furnished with a round table and a wicker- settee of two sofas, a coffee table and matching chairs.

From the terrace, you can take the time to admire the wonderful view that is offered to you or access a small beach in a few steps adorned with native shrubs and a drooping filao trees (Casuarina).

On your right, the living room also functions as a hallway. It includes a dining table for eight persons and seating area with two large sofas. A nostalgic style prevails throughout the house.

The ground floor master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with W/C. The beige shades of its decoration are brightened by colorful local paintings. A baby cot can be added on request.

From the living room, a corridor leads to two bedrooms.

The first guest bedroom has two single beds and a stand-up fan, without air conditioning.

The second guest bedroom has a single bed with. It is equipped with an air conditioning system.

A bathroom with shower and W/C serves those two rooms.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, a large refrigerator, a dishwasher and all small kitchen appliances.

A sturdy wooden door opens on an office with internet connection. This small work space is decorated by a porthole for a marine touch.

Another wooden door leads directly to the covered terrace with couches and arm chairs. The view on the lagoon is spectacular.

First Floor

The first floor master bedroom offers great views of the lagoon and includes a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with shower and separated W/C.

Villa Neptune has not recently been renovated and is by no means described as a luxury beach villa. However, one cannot deny his raw and rustic charm or its functional qualities. It is ideal for holidaymakers who prefer the simplicity of an authentic haven at a very reasonable price.

The major asset of the Villa Neptune is its prime location, with its beautiful white sandy beach embraced by turquoise waters spread here and there with black basalt stones. The northern islands like the Gunners Quoin, Flat Island, Round Island and even the famous Sugar Loaf Island can be admired from the villa.

Ground Floor

Bedroom No 1 (Master bedroom), equipped with an air conditioning system, has a double bed, a baby cot and an en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom No. 2 (Guest bedroom), equipped with an air conditioning system, has a single bed.

Bedroom No. 3 (Guest bedroom), equipped with a ventilation system includes two single beds. No air conditioning.

A bathroom serves bedrooms No. 2 and No. 3.

Upstairs

Room No. 2 (Master bedroom), equipped with an air conditioning system, has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom.

Accommodation Capacity

7 adults + 1 baby.

Staff of Villa Neptune

The friendly and competent housekeeper and cook, Kavita, takes care of the guests.

Kavita lives on the premises, at the far end of the family complex, and works in Villa Neptune from 8h00 am to 13h30 pm, from Monday to Saturday, with the exception of bank holidays. If you need assistance she can be contacted during odd hours, except on Sundays and bank holidays.

Kavita prepares one meal a day, a lunch OR a pre-cooked dinner. Purchasing food is your responsibility.

She takes care of the household maintenance and does the laundry. Her task does not include ironing of the guests’ clothes.

All issues related to the villa are handled directly by the owner, Mr. Benoit Harel.

The gardener, Timole, works three days a week in the morning and keeps the premises clean and tidy.

The night guard, Eric, is on duty every night from 20h00 pm to 05h00 am the next day.
