I am Villa Riambelle, an elegantly built and lavishly furnished tropical beauty made of local stone and timber and set into a paradisiacal garden, adorned by a swimming pool, right by the beach of Riambel, a small community in the extreme South of Mauritius. I perfectly fit into this mythical place where sugar cane boats once came into small harbors, famous poets dwelled close by and where people from all over the world come to experience oneness with the Universe in a nearby sanctuary.
My owner loves and adores me; he jealously guards my pristine environment, and me, keeping me in top shape at any time. Indeed, I am a lucky one and so are those who come to spend a marvelous tropical holiday within my walls.

The entree is an open and airy space that extends into two lounges, which are kept in a light colored island theme. Both are fully furnished and equipped with comfortable couches, armchairs, and sideboards; the main lounge has a satellite flat screen TV. The entire house is lavishly decorated with colorful paintings by local artists; adding to its breezy aura of tropical delight. Throughout the ground floor, louvered security shutters provide privacy and safety.
Riambelle Villa location
The road from the airport leads through a landscape of intense beauty with crisscrossing streams and rivers as well as small villages, surrounded by green fields. During harvest time, visitors might encounter hugely laden sugar cane trucks headed for Savannah, one of the rare sugar mills in Mauritius that are still in use today. There, the road winds some ways inland, before meeting the rugged coastline again, close by the cliffs of Gris-Gris and passing through historic Souillac with its ancient church, cemetery and boat harbor.
Past the bridge and the mound of the Savanne River, the coastline once again is dominated by a coral reef and gives way to a sparkling turquoise lagoon, where a few privileged homes lie nestled in tropical greenery; caressed by the restless trade winds at a small village called Riambel. Right at this village’s boarder, and by the carved stone bearing its name, a driveway leads to a double gate and onto the premises of Villa Riambelle.
Nearby tourist attractions such as Edward Hart Museum “La Nef”, Telfair Gardens, Rochester Falls as well as La Vanille Crocodile Park and Nature Reserve, can be reached in just a few minutes.
A host of small but very fine restaurants; one even rumored to offer the best Indian cuisine of Mauritius, are within walking distance or can be reached by car in a short drive. Historic landmarks in the vicinity enclose Domaine Le Saint Aubin, where once a legendary dynasty lived in splendor and today traditional rum and great island hospitality meet and greet the enchanted visitor.
Water activities such as swimming, snorkeling and fishing are plenty and dive-enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite sport at the dive centers of the neighboring hotels.
About Riambelle Villa

The playful island theme is carried over to the dining area, where a large table and chairs for eight persons provide ample space for luscious island feasts.
The kitchen of this fine Mauritius beachfront villa comes fully equipped with a huge American style fridge, a stainless steel stove with air extractor, a dishwasher, state of the art cooking utensils as well as tableware for up to twelve guests.
The adjoining outdoor kitchen has a working table and two sinks.
The Garden Bedroom is located behind the kitchen. It is kept in bright colors with a very large and comfortable bed, wardrobe and en-suite toilet, ample shower and double washbasins. The sliding doors which connect to the private veranda have folding grills to let in a cool sea breeze and yet offer security.
The Pool Bedroom opens onto the swimming pool area. It offers all the amenities of the garden bedroom plus bathtub /shower in the bathroom and a single washbasin. It is equipped with a secured cabinet large enough to hold valuables, camera-gear, laptops and tablets. Louvered shutters provide security as well as intimacy.
The Pool Lounge is the veranda by the safely zoned-off swimming pool, where shady spaces invite to relax on comfortable lounge and beach chairs. It can be closed off for additional security with an electric roller shutter. The state of the art pool is heated in winter and has a surround sound system. Surrounded by a fence, it is totally children safe.
In a secluded spot in the lovely garden sits a small bungalow in pastel colors: the Annex consists of a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet.
The Laundry Room also functions as a maintenance room and is equipped with a good-sized washing machine, an ironing board and a steam iron.
The Wi-Fi desk offers all the sockets, but free Internet connection is available throughout the building.
The guest toilet is situated on the ground floor of this luxury beach villa.
First Floor
A staircase leads up to the first floor, where the Master Bedroom with its large wooden bed is kept in soft colors; opening up to a bathroom with separate tub, shower, twin basins and toilet. The terrace in the treetops is accessible from this room only and adds romance to your exclusive Indian Ocean holiday; offering scenic views over Riambel beach and the Indian Ocean.
The Junior Suite has an attic style roof and a cozy lounge with a sofa and satellite TV. Its bedroom features three single beds and a foldable baby bed. The en-suite bathroom has an ample shower and a toilet.

In order to successfully organizing your tropical island wedding, we can put you in contact with a network of skilled and reliable service providers, with whom we have worked in the past including a hair dresser and a make-up artist who will come to the house and expertly prepare you for the great event, as well as a skilled caterer and a specialized baker who will fulfill any culinary wishes you might have. The Mauritian government allows its registrar to come and wed you directly on our beach or in Villa Riambelle’s lush garden; enabling you to have it all happening at the same place; hence avoiding stressful transfers to restaurants and churches. You will hence arrive at the wedding site fresh and rested, and ready for the big moment.
A well-reputed photographer will capture your most beautiful moments and turn them into lasting souvenirs; to share with your family, guests and friends back home and our experienced staff will be delighted to contribute to your special island nuptials.
