L'Exil Lodges Overview

More than just a break from the routine life, let you be tempted by a unique experience awakening something deep in your heart and feeding your soul. Nested in the heart of the indigenous Combo forest, we provide a different style of accommodation rather than the usual sun, sand and sea.

The 10 lodges have all the same standard design which is more of a cozy and rustic-style type of accommodation. They are all composed of a bedroom and a standard cubicle bathroom. Each bedroom has an open view on the endemic forest and some of them have a scenic waterfall view overlooking from the rooms. Ideal for soulmates, honeymooners and nature lovers, once you step in, all the vibrational energy that the place reveals will wrap you up and bring you back to the roots- a rare experience.

Situated in the south of Mauritius, more precisely in Riviere des Anguilles, you will not only appreciate the atmosphere but will also be delighted at the selection of activities offered. Guests who would like to connect with nature can take a walk into the forest itself. As part of this package you will also benefit from a free hike to Leon Falls. Admire the endemic forest around you and observe animals and rare plants. You will also have the chance to take a refreshing plunge at the ‘Cascade Leon’ which is a 20 meter waterfall in the middle of pristine nature.

Otherwise, guests looking for a bit more of a thrilling adventure can opt for the popular quad biking activity. You’ll be able to enjoy an exciting ride on a quad bike, explore and discover the southern part of Mauritius, with some routes bringing you to the cliffs of Gris Gris and Rochester Falls.

The fireplace is perfect for a friendly gathering in the evenings, especially after a day trekking in the forest or quad biking. The wood-fire blazing cheerily in the fireplace sends its warmth and light far out into the lounge and in the direction of the restaurant bar.This retreat is a must if you want to be far away from technology, social media, and all other distractions in order to reconnect with nature.

L'Exil Lodges - Location

Rivière des Anguilles is in the Savanne district. It takes its source to the east of Grand Bassin and throws itself into the sea to Andrea.

It gave its name to the village of Rivière des Anguilles where it flows through its western edge and to the bridge where the road from Nouvelle France to Souillac crosses the village nearby.

The sugar estate of the same name was in operation at the beginning of the 19th century until 1936.

Bois Cheri Tea Factory is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Rochester Falls and Ganga Talao.
