Shopping here is a mix of modern malls, lively promenades, local boutiques and practical stops you unexpectedly end up appreciating.
Some places are perfect for designer shopping. Others are better for casual strolls, cafés or picking up local products before flying home.
Here are some of the best shopping spots worth knowing while exploring Mauritius.
1. Tribeca Mall
If you only visit one large shopping mall in Mauritius, this will likely be it.
Tribeca Mall is currently the island’s biggest and newest shopping destination, combining fashion, restaurants, entertainment and family activities in one place.
It is especially useful on rainy days or if you are staying in the central or western regions.

2. Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius
Probably Mauritius’ most well-known mall.

It is also one of the easiest places to combine shopping with sightseeing.

4. Grand Baie La Croisette
If you are staying in the North, chances are you will end up here at some point.

6. La City Trianon
One of Mauritius’ long-standing shopping centres.
Located near Ébène Cybercity, La City Trianon offers a relaxed mix of shopping, restaurants and everyday conveniences.
If you are exploring the centre of Mauritius or staying nearby, it makes an easy stop without the crowds of larger malls.
7. Phoenix Mall
Popular with locals and often pleasantly busy.
Phoenix Mall combines fashion, restaurants, cafés and entertainment in one practical location. It is especially convenient if you are exploring nearby towns such as Curepipe, Quatre Bornes or the central plateau.
Sometimes, it simply feels like a good place to take a break.
8. So’Flo
Smaller, calmer and slightly more refined.
Located in Floréal, So’Flo feels less like a busy shopping mall and more like an easy afternoon stop with cafés, boutiques and a relaxed atmosphere.

9. Cascavelle Shopping Mall
One of the more scenic malls in Mauritius.

One of Mauritius’ newer lifestyle-style shopping spaces.
With lakeside surroundings, shaded walkways and cafés, Mahogany Shopping Promenade feels more relaxed than a typical mall.
It is ideal if you prefer slower shopping with a nicer setting.
Nearby, you can also visit L’Aventure du Sucre or the SSR Botanical Garden.
11. Cœur de Ville Shopping Malls
You will find these in places like Grand Baie, Tamarin, Flacq and Goodlands.
They are not giant malls - and that is part of the charm.
Think neighbourhood shopping: cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets and casual stores in an easy-going setting.
Useful when you simply need everyday essentials without spending half a day shopping.
12. Montebello Mall
One of the more practical stops in Mauritius.
Located near Moka, Ébène and Port Louis, Montebello Mall is useful if you are travelling through the centre of the island and need restaurants, cafés, pharmacies or quick shopping in one place.
It feels very local and convenient.
13. Plaisance Shopping Village
Forgot souvenirs before your flight?
This is probably the easiest solution.

14. Mont Choisy Le Mall
A quieter shopping option in the North.
Compared to larger malls, Mont Choisy Le Mall feels more boutique-like and relaxed.

Compact, practical and easy.
Located in Saint Pierre, Kendra combines restaurants, shops, pharmacies and supermarkets in one convenient stop.
